WEATHER RIGHT NOW. BUT YOU’RE SAYING THAT’S NOT GOING TO BE THE CASE FOR LATER INTO THE NIGHT. YEAH. I MEAN, ESPECIALLY REALLY IMPORTANT TO KNOW FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE COMMUTING REALLY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING, THERE’S A LOT OF PEOPLE GOING OUT FOR CHURCH SERVICES. WE ACTUALLY TOOK A CALL TONIGHT SAYING SOME CHURCH SERVICES WILL BE CANCELED DUE TO THE WEATHER COMING IN RIGHT NOW AND INTO OUR SUNDAY. SO RIGHT NOW, DRY LOOK OVER DOWNTOWN PORTLAND SKYCAM TEMPERATURES ARE HANGING NICELY INTO THE LOW 30S. CALM WINDS WEST 30MPH, AND A LOT OF YOU ARE MAYBE SURPRISED BY THE FACT THAT WE HAVE A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ENCOMPASSING FOR THE ENTIRE STATE OF MAINE. THIS IS PROLONGED. WE’RE LOOKING AT MULTIPLE DAYS WORTH OF THIS ADVISORY GOING ALL THE WAY UNTIL SIX IN THE MORNING MONDAY. HERE’S WHY. WE ARE LOOKING AT THE RAIN, SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN MIXING INTO SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND SOUTHERN YORK COUNTY. WE’RE STILL LOOKING AT THAT COMING IN FROM THE GREAT LAKES, BUT WIDEN OUT THAT VIEW EVEN MORE. WE STILL HAVE ANOTHER LOW THAT’S WELL OFF INTO THE PLAINS RIGHT NOW, AND THAT LOW WILL BRING NOT THE SNOW OR MIX. IT WILL BRING WARMER AIR AND MORE RAIN. SO THIS IS GOING TO BECOME A MESS. SO WHATEVER SNOW THAT YOU GUYS SAW FROM THIS MORNING, IN THE AFTERNOON IS EVENTUALLY GOING TO MELT. BUT WE HAVE A BIGGER PROBLEM AS WE GO INTO OUR SUNDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON. WE ARE GOING TO BE LOOKING AT ICING POTENTIAL, ESPECIALLY GREATER CHANCES THROUGH AREAS INTO THE LAKES REGION, INTO NEW HAMPSHIRE, AND EXPANDING PAST BRIDGTON, BETHEL, EVEN FARMINGTON. BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN THAT YOU CAN’T SEE A TRACE AT ALL OF ICING, BUT IT’S JUST THE GREATER CHANCES AS WE GO THROUGH THE MORNING AND AFTERNOON, WE ARE STILL GOING TO BE LOOKING AT SOME HEAVY, WET SNOW MOVING THROUGH AS WELL. THIS STAYS PRIMARILY TO THE NORTH AND INTO THE MOUNTAIN RANGE WHERE IT BELONGS FOR THE SKIERS. BUT WE ARE GOING TO BE LOOKING AT THAT RAIN, SLEET, SNOW, MIXING AND FREEZING RAIN. AND RIGHT WHEN YOU THINK WE’RE DONE, KIND OF LIKE THIS AFTERNOON, WE’LL CATCH A BREAK AND THEN MORE COMES IN TOWARDS THE EVENING HOURS TO FINISH THIS OUT. SO TEMPERATURES INTO THE MID 30S. AND THEN BY THE TIME WE GO TO MONDAY WHERE WE HAVE MORE IMPACT WEATHER TO CONTINUE, MORE HEAVY RAIN WILL BE STAYING STEADY THROUGH MUCH OF THE MORNING. WE’LL GET ANOTHER BREAK. TEMPERATURES WARM UP TO THE 50S AND EVENTUALLY WE’LL BE TRACKING A COLD FRONT, MOVING THROUGH, BRINGING SCATTERED SHOWERS AND PERHAPS A RUMBLE OF THUNDER AS WE GO INTO THE EVENING HOURS, GIVING US MORE SHOWERS INTO THE LATE MONDAY EVENING. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED STRAY SHOWER AROUND THE EARLY MORNING COMMUTE FOR TUESDAY. TEMPERATURES DO STAY MILD AFTER THAT. WE DO DRY OUT INTO WEDNESDAY. ANOTHER SYSTEM APPROACHES BY THURSDAY BEFORE WE GET TOO FAR AHEAD OF OURSELVES. OUR SNOWFALL FORECAST YOU’VE PROBABLY ALREADY SEEN ABOUT 3 TO 5IN. WE’RE CONTINUING TO ADD ON TO THAT AS WE GO INTO OUR SUNDAY. A LOT OF US INTO THAT 1 TO 3 RANGE FROM FRYEBURG, BETHEL, BERLIN, KINGFIELD, WATERVILLE, AUGUSTA, YOU NAME IT. AND THEN A LOT OF US INTO SOUTHERN YORK COUNTY. BECAUSE OF THE FREEZING RAIN AND THE MIXING A COATING TO ONE INCH, BUT THAT’S ALSO ON TOP OF THE DAMPENING OF THE POTENTIAL OF ICE. SO WE ARE GOING TO BE LOOKING AT AT LEAST A TRACE OF ICE FOR EVERYBODY ACROSS THE STATE. SO FOR NOW, WE ARE MOSTLY DRY. EVENTUALLY THE SNOW WILL BE MIXING IN, MAKING FOR SOME SLICK CONDITIONS AS TEMPERATURES COULD BE CAUSING REFREEZING INTO THE 20S TONIGHT. AND THEN WE REBOUND TO THE 30S. BUT ON TOP OF THAT, STILL LOOKING AT THAT IMPACT WEATHER EVEN STAYING IN PLACE FOR MONDAY, WHICH IS POTENTIALLY PUTTING AN IMPACT FOR THURSDAY, DESPITE US SEEING SOME SPRING LIKE TEMPERATURES BY THURSDAY STILL GOI
